Tell us about yourself
I’m a graphic designer and illustrator based in Manchester, currently in the process of renovating a van to live in, so I can roam about and spend more time in nature. My work is often inspired by my own life - I often illustrate as a form of journalling, documenting moments, places and experiences.
Describe your artistic style
My work is flat, yet abstract. I like to play with texture and proportion and use a lot of colour! I fully embrace being a digital illustrator but I love getting small analogue textures into a finished piece.
What was the inspiration behind “Christmas Chaos”?
I have 6 siblings, and going home for the holidays every year always feels a little hectic. It’s a time of year where there’s almost a sensory overload of exciting things going on, yet it’s where I feel a true calmness amidst the chaos. After Covid and lockdowns, I think it’d be great to get some of that chaos back, to be around people you love and to find comfort in one another.
Describe your ultimate mindful moment
I’m a big nature lover, so the ultimate mindful moment for me is somewhere up a mountain, cold water swimming or walking through a forest. Reading books, making fires, writing and drawing allow me to focus on one thing at a time, and these are the things I always circle back to.
